How To Recommend A Camper
Any school or social service agency interested in recommending a camper to Horizon Arts Camp should complete the Camp's online Recommendation Form or download a copy from the Camp Forms page. Please note that families must also submit a Camper Application Form. Applications are not processed until both the Camper Application and Recommendation Form have been received by the Camp.
Recommendations are accepted from:
- Teachers
- Principals
- Educational Assistants
- Social Workers
- Child Youth Workers
- Daycare Staff
- Family Doctors
- Religious Leaders
- Staff from Community Organizations
Recommendation information is used to gain a deeper understanding of the potential camper’s social skills, artistic skills, how they relate to peers and adults, and how the child will benefit from participation in the Camp. Horizon Arts Camp’s program has a unique structure and the recommendations are used to assess whether our approach is the right fit for the child or youth.
