Lower Camp (Grades 3-5)

Picture

The Lower Camp program gives our younger campers the opportunity to participate in a wide range of arts and traditional camp activities with their cabin group throughout each camp session.

Grouped by age, each cabin group will experience programming in music, dance, theatre, visual arts, sports and hobbies. Cabins will also have ‘cabin time’ once daily, which is less structured time for the counsellors and campers to spend together doing special activities, engaging in group discussions, playing co-operative games or working on a cabin project.

In the arts specialties (music, dance, theatre and visual arts) campers will explore each discipline through hands-on activities and exercises, led by either a specialty counsellor or the specialty head. The arts specialties are designed to teach both individual and groups skills, arts vocabulary, and appreciation for professional work.

Campers in the 3-week sessions will work with the artistic staff to prepare a performance for our Visitors' Day Arts Showcase at the end of each session.Participation in our Visitors' Day Arts Showcase is a mandatory component of the 3-week sessions.
