Leadership Programs: LIT & CIT

Horizon Arts Camp has a two part Leadership Program for youth who are completing grade 9 (Leader-In-Training (LIT) Program) and grade 10 (Counsellor-In-Training (CIT) Program). Youth in grade 10 who are interested in registering in CIT Program do not need to have participated in the LIT Program in order to be accepted, however previous leadership experience may be required.

H.A.C.’s Leadership Programs provide an environment in which youth can make a meaningful transition from adolescence to young adulthood. The program facilitates youth development that is socially positive by using leadership and the arts to empower participants to recognize their own abilities, challenge themselves and find success.

Both programs include:
- day trips to theatres, television stations, museums, etc.
- guest presentations from working arts professionals
- an overnight trip to a residential summer camp
- volunteer hours for high school
